Panasonic HV 200 Review

The Panasonic's new DMP-HV200 digital terrestrial television has just been announced its arrival in Japan. The IPX-3 rated, drip-proof set features gesture control that lets you change the channel or adjust the volume without touching the screen.   So this is ideal when watching in the bath. Following your favourite recipy, or just too lazy to find the remote.  It has 10.0inch 1024 x 600 pixel LCD display. It's also available with an optional battery pack giving you about three and half hours of images or video fed over 802.11n WiFi, SDXC cards, or USB cable.

The DMP-HV150 is splash proof, but doesn't feature motion controls.

The DMP-BV300 has an integrated Blu-ray player, with HDMI output to an external 1080p display.

Due to be out in Japan in March, no date for UK release yet?

The BV300 will set you back around £590, the HV200 around £390 and the HV150 £320.

Motion Control

The Motion control feature is perfect when using in the Kitchen or bathroom, when your hands are either dirty or too wet to touch the controls. A simple wave of the wand to change the channels or volume is all it takes. The waterproof design wont be bothered by the odd splash of water.
